Meet the Founder
Addison Saige Williams
Addison created "KONNECTED KINDNESS"â„ at the age of 13 to help other students that have been affected by bullying. Addison knows firsthand what it’s like to be bullied and excluded. At the age of 5, in kindergarten, she was physically bullied by another little girl. Addison and her family, after many visits and phone calls to the school, quickly learned that the little girl was very jealous of Addison. This tends to be the common reason for bullying among young children. When Addison started doing pageants, she wanted to create a platform that would impact others by helping them understand they are not alone. So, the creation of KONNECTED KINDNESSâ„ was formed. She has two bullying prevention initiatives that include “Fill your Bucket” for elementary students & “Leave Your Thumbprint” for middle school students. Later, Addison would understand the feeling of being constantly excluded and gossiped about while receiving the label “new kid.” Finding the passion of impacting those around her was a way of helping her own mental health. Throughout her high school experience, Addison found journaling as a huge factor in helping her mental health, so she has added “Reflective Journaling” to the program to better improve the mental health of teenagers everywhere. She travels nationwide sharing stories and her own experiences with students all over the country. The kids are at times amazed to hear her story, but it just goes to show that no one at any age is immune from bullying or cyberbullying. To date, Addison has been able to share KONNECTED KINDNESSâ„ with approximately 2 million students and counting. She has seen firsthand the difference it has made and the spirit of being kind to one another because Kindness is Casual!
